Commit to Your Game E-mail

When you play poker online, it is really important to be committed to your game. If you want to win at poker, you have to study every moves made by your opponents, even when you're not in the hand. Don't think that folding means you're on a break! You still have to watch how players act and react to each other because that can give you clues on how to play future hands.

Consider that a typical Mansion Poker tournament of about 1000 players with blinds increasing every 10 minutes or so takes about three to four hours to play, assuming you make it to the end. If you're going to sit home at your computer and join such a tournament, then be sure you can commit yourself for that long. If there are constant distractions in the house while you play, and you are being interrupted when you play, it's going to impact your performance negatively. If a family member needs to use the computer when you are two hours in the tournament, do you really want to sit out the next few hands? Sitting out of a tournament for ten minutes can really change your position. What if you missed a big hand because you were sitting out? Had you been playing instead, maybe you could have doubled up.

This may sound silly to some, but if you play poker frequently and live with family members or roommates, make sure they don't disturb you. It would be a shame to waste a great bonus from a Mansion Poker referral code because you were distracted and made stupid plays! Set up your own poker time schedule in advance. Don't take phone calls. For the duration of the tournament, nothing else matters. Focus on that game only! Tournaments normally include a 5 to 10 minute break every hour. Do take your break. If you've been studying opponents all night, your brain needs to relax. Take a walk, grab some fresh air, and come back refreshed. And most important of all, being committed to your game means playing one game at a time. I know people who run 3 games at once. Guess what? They're not good poker players because they only react to each hand individually without having a strong knowledge of how their opponents play. You'll never win that way so don't waste your time doing it.

Good luck and remember to practice. Try out this Mansion Poker Download or check out our complete list of recommended online poker rooms.
