In this segment, I will guide you trough all the poker hands and show you how to determine the winner and when to declare a tie. This article assumes you already know about how poker hands are ranked. If you don't, please read about it here before going any further.

Texas Hold'em is easy to learn and fun to play. I'll explain the game mechanics using examples. If you are new to poker, I do encourage you to review my previous poker basics which includes information on the poker hands and on poker lingo.

There are three variations to Texas Holdem limits:

• Limit Holdem
• No Limit Holdem
• Pot Limit Holdem

I assume that you are already familiar with the basic concept of Texas Holdem (Where players each have two hole cards and share the community cards while going through betting rounds.
