RAZZ Poker Rules
RAZZ is a different kind of poker game because you win the game by having the worse hand. You’ll make up a five cards out of seven available cards. There are no community cards but each player will be dealt 2 cards face down, 4 cards face up, and a last card face down. As in all low hand games, pairs count against the player. That is, any hand with no pair defeats any hand with a pair; one pair hands defeat two pair or three of a kind, etc. No-pair hands are compared starting with the highest ranking card, just as in high poker, except that the high hand loses. In ace-to-five low, straights and flushes are ignored, and aces play as the lowest card. Under these rules, the best RAZZ hand is A-2-3-4-5.
How to Play RAZZ
The game begins with all the players having to ante up a predermined amount. Next, each player is dealt two cards face down and one card face up.
Betting in RAZZ
The first betting round begins after all players are dealth their initial three cards. Just like in most poker games, players get to call the current bet, raise or fold. Following the initial betting round, each remaing player is dealt another card face up, and a second betting round occurs. Again, players have the same options (call, raise, fold).
The fifth is dealt face up, followed by a betting round. Then a 6th card is dealt face up, and another betting round occurs. The final a card is then dealt face down followed by the final betting round and then a showdown.
RAZZ winning hands
At the showdown players must make the worse 5-card poker hand out of the seven cards they were dealt. As an example, 5-6-9-K-J beats A-2-3-3-5, and 6-3-7-8-2 beats 5-8-9-4-A.
